Thankfulness

Why should we be we thankful?

To GOD be the Glory!

Oh, we have so many reasons to be thankful, but the main reason to me is because GOD loved us so much that He refused to leave us in our fallen state of sin and sent His Son to die on the cross for us, so that our sin would be buried with Him. By the blood of Jesus Christ our sins were washed away, forgotten, forgiven.  One act by the only person who qualified for the job – the begotten Son of the Living GOD.

The next reason we have to be thankful is that through the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus rose from the dead into Life and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven.  By rising from the dead, Jesus has given us the opportunity for eternal Life through Him; a life that on our own we could never ever have.

Oh how glorious! We have been given the most wonderful and totally indescribable gift from GOD! We receive this gift by faith. ( If you have not a child of GOD, then please review the pages on this site that are listed under “Why Jesus.”)

What hope and joy we have through and in Jesus our LORD Master!  How wondrous are His mighty ways!  When you have been given so much, how can you not be so thankful?

Offer more than a quick prayer or praise to Him this Thanksgiving.  Offer Him your total being, all of your life, all of your things, all you are and have.  Surrender your all to Him alone and realize that without Him, you would not even have the breath to praise and thank Him in the first place.

Be thankful this year by giving back to GOD the one thing He wants from you; sacrifice your will to Him and allow the Life of His Son, Jesus Christ to live and work in and through you by the power of His Holy Spirit.

He has blessed us beyond anything we can imagine and now it is time to show our gratitude by surrendering our self-dog wills to Him.  Allow Him to be our All in All and praise and thank Him continually for the life He gives us moment by moment.

Abba Father we sing joyously to You, the GOD of All and we praise Your mighty name!  Thank you seems so little to say, but it is all we can say in our limited knowledge and language. Abba, we long to know You more and long to see Your Glory.  How wondrous are Your works and how awestruck we are at Your goodness towards Your children.

Abba, help our unbelief.  Help us to surrender all to You. Help us to get over our self-dog lifestyles and commit our wills to You alone.  Abba, we cannot do this on our own and look to You to work in us so that we may be pleasing to You.

As Your precious Son said right before His total sacrifice on the cross:

saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me.

Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” Luke 22:42:

May we also lay down the lives You have given us so we  may say by Your Spirit, as our LORD Master prayed back to His Father, “not my will, but Yours, be done.”

We love You Abba and we thank You for all You have done for us.  May our lives reflect Your Love to those around us and may we obey You, Abba, as You direct us on the path You have laid out for us.

In Your precious Son’s Name, my LORD Master, Jesus Christ, I pray.  Amen
